This cooperation aims to fully leverage the respective advantages of the school and the enterprise to create a high-quality platform that closely integrates industry, academia and research.

Linear low-density polyethylene (PE-LLD) was selected as the base material. The melt blending was carried out by a twin-screw extruder, and the powder material suitable for rotational molding process was prepared by using a mechanical grinding mill.

In response to the diverse demands for cross-linked materials in different fields, our three products, XHPE063P, XHPE065P, and XHPE075P, each have their own focuses.

Today, we are going to explore the coating problems encountered in the rotational molding process of plastic fuel tanks and their solutions.

Among rotomolding materials, Nylon 12 (PA12) stands out with its unique performance combination. As a key member of the long-carbon-chain nylon family, Nylon 12 features longer molecular chains and lower amide bond density, resulting in an extremely low water absorption rate of approximately 0.25% — the lowest among all nylon products. Additionally, it boasts low density, excellent low-temperature toughness, and outstanding oil and chemical resistance. It maintains good toughness even in extreme cold environments as low as -70°C, with a long-term service temperature reaching 80-90°C.
